WHAT A WEEK #004 – All Bass News Of The Week In One Place | 28.09-04.10

The last seven days have been mainly due to the confusion of this year’s edition of Lost Lands Music Festival (27-29.09) and the German Blacklist Festival, which invited such stars as Zomboy, Zeds Dead, Joyryde and Borgore to its debut edition. Nevertheless, this week brought us some cool news not strictly related to these events. Here is (we hope) a full list of what happened between September 28th and October 4th in the bass world:

1. Disciple and Electric Family joined forces to create a joint collection. Since yesterday, baseball caps and wristbands have been on sale, with the purchase of which you are supporting the Greater Good Fund.

2. Subtronics debuted his VIP to “Griztronics” at Lost Lands. The preview is available via his socials or here.

3. Svdden Death and Eptic using their free time during the LL19 have created a new collab. His debut took place during their B2B on the main stage of the festival. ID flies around 45 minute on this video.

4. The seventh episode of our #WTFI series is dedicated to Kai Wachi, a member of Kannibalen Records, who released his debut album “DEMIGOD” this year.

5. As promised, they did. Excision and ILLENIUM ended their B2B at Lost Lands with the debut of their new collaboration. We wrote about this here.

6. A couple who have been Ekali’s fans for 7 years (!) got engaged on stage during his performance. You’ll get a recording of these events on his Instagram..

7. At this year’s LL Spag Heddy debuted his remix to the “Love Is Gone” by the duo Slander, and 6 days later – basically yesterday – Remix EP of this production was released, which also included Kompany and ALRT.

8. Slander and Moody Good have new collab on the way. First preview on their socials (@slanderofficial).

9. The Nations family, which owns the Trap Nation channel, has radically changed their branding and logos. Permanent observers of their channels certainly noticed it, and for those who escaped this news, we leave a link to a full video ad – here.

10. 12th Planet is releasing new EP this Friday, 11th October.

11. We have prepared for you a schedule of European bass events that will take place this month. Not taking into account the Dutch ADE it’s really thick. Check it out yourself at this link.

12. We have also prepared a list of all available live sets from this year’s Lost Lands. At the moment we have more than 40 live shows – check.

13. Zomboy announced the EP “Rott N’ Roll Pt. 2: Remixed” and revealed her tracklist. The premiere will take place on October 11th, with guest appearances from PhaseOne, Wooli, TYNAN, Oliverse, Kompany or Gladez.

14. Alison Wonderland announced the next edition of her tour “WONDERLAND WAREHOUSE PROJECT”. In February she will perform three times in Europe – Berlin, London and Moscow. You can get all the details on wonderlandproject.com

15. The legendary Foreign Beggars have set off on their final tour, with 90% of stops in European countries! Today they play in Berlin. http://www.foreignbeggars.com/tours

16. The fact that San Holo is a MAN we know not from today. Two days ago he proved it once again – he boasted on Twitter that he and his team built a disabled host from Airbnb a home studio! Paul’s dream was to return to music production.

17. Diplo confessed that the Jack U project, which he co-created with Skrillex between 2013 and 2016, might be reactivated next year. More info here.

18. The debut – sold out in a few weeks – edition of the Wakaan Festival has been going on since the third of October. In the lineup, of course, the forefront of freeform bass climates – Liquid Stranger, Space Jesus, LSDREAM, G-Rex and Subtronics. We are counting on some live sets from this event!

19. Staying in debuts – on 2 October the first edition of the German Blacklist Festival took place, which… also sold out in full. The line up included the trap-dubstep biggest stars like Zeds Dead, Joyryde, Borgore, Ghastly, Sikdope, Flux Pavilion, Zomboy, Dion Timmer, Eptic, Badklaat and Panda Eyes.

19.1 The organizers have already announced next year’s edition. It will take place on 10 October 2020.

19.2 On the facebook @blacklistarma landed a 10-minute video from the festival’s INTRO SHOW. There’s plenty to watch.

20. The latest Halloween collection of JAUZ merchandise has landed on his online store – www.shop.bitethis.com

21. RAMPAGE announced that on October 10 they will show the first artist who will perform at the March RAMPAGE WEEKEND.

22. Climate change: Martin Garrix is working on a joint song with… Timbaland.

23. During this year’s Audiotistic Valentino Khan will share the stage with 4B. The producers will act as HULK GANG. We are counting on the development of a joint project and musical novelties!

24. Several EDM portals reported at the beginning of the week that Flosstradamus had announced at the end of his performance at Lost Lands that he was taking a break from performing. Nothing more wrong – Curt performed today/yesterday in Las Vegas, and this year he’s going to be at BOO! San Francisco, Audiotistic and FreekNight Festival.

25. As a reminder, we would like to inform you that it’s already October, and what follows – soon we’ll have two mix premieres awaiting us – RL Grime will release its annual Halloween Mix and Boombox Cartel will release the fourth part of Dia De Los Muertos Mix. Can’t wait.

26. The Skellism Project will no longer be a duet. Sisco (1/2 of the duo) will now focus on developing a solo career under the pseudonym REDTAPE.

27. Whethan canceled two festival performances to focus on his mental health. We hope that this is not the proverbial beginning of the end and that the artist himself will soon return to performing!

28. This Friday, October 11, Bellorum will release a new EP “Area”. The release is, of course, the responsibility of the Barong Family.

29. On October 3rd, the Welcome Records label, founded by Kayzo, celebrated its first birthday. The following day Dr. Phunk was declared a new member of the label.

30. Tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. the sale of tickets for next year’s edition of the German PAROOKAVILLE starts. This year the festival passed a very fast SOLD OUT, so we advise you to make quick decisions.

31. Kompany, LAXX, Midnight Tyrannosaurus celebrated their birthdays this week. Happy B-DAY!

We believe that we have not missed any important news and we look forward to hearing from you next Saturday!
